Powell Rug
Intersecting patterns in an asymmetric grid, the Powell is a hand tufted rug featuring signature motifs of varying scale. The design is inspired by Indian architectural carving and mosaic tiles. The design references a love of maximalist pattern, piecing blocks of motifs together like a patchwork quilt.
Each rug is individually made in 100% wool, creating a dense, long lasting pile which adds texture to the colours. The rugs are crafted using a very precise technique of inserting and looping yarn tufts with handheld tools. The finishing process of meticulous hand carving each motif produces a crispness of line, with varied pile heights to create a 3-dimensional effect.
