Undulating Awakening

For MXM Design’s “Undulating Awakening” private residence, Wautier Carpets created a large bespoke, form-following area rug for the lounge, designed to respond to the interior’s interplay of architectural lines and soft, undulating curves. Made in our own Lumi Silk, an in-house R&D fibre prized for its refined lustre and beautifully soft handle, the rug brings another tactile layer to the project’s sculptural language. Lumi Silk carpets and rugs can be custom made in virtually any colour, with shades precisely matched to a paint or material swatch, or selected from our library of thousands of yarn poms—allowing each bespoke piece to be developed specifically for its interior.
